Italo disco

Italo-Disco emerged in Italy in the late 1970s, peaking in the 1980s. It evolved from underground dance, pop, and electronic music and often features electronic drums, drum machines, synthesizers, and vocoders. Typically sung in English, the genre also includes some tracks in Italian and Spanish. The ZYX record label helped popularize Italo-Disco internationally. The genre declined in the early 1990s, giving rise to Eurobeat, Italo house, and Italo dance.
